According to the BioEnterprise Rankings, Minnesota has slipped to the fifth position in venture raise totals for the first six months of 2010. Leading states included: Illinois, Western PA, Wisconsin, Ohio and Minnesota. Biotech companies raised the most with $289 million compared to $96 million for medical device.
